Success Signals: Empowering Students by Connecting Faculty and Success Teams

Four students study together in a booth

Faculty send kudos, alerts and tutoring referrals through Success Signals. The student’s success team reaches out to the student to provide support and referrals. Faculty are informed about the outreach and provide any follow up if needed.

Success Signals is BHCC’s early alert tool. Faculty throughout the semester can send students kudos for positive recognition or an alert related to their academics.

The student receives an email, and their success team (a student’s assigned pathway coach or a navigator) is notified. The success team provides the student with support and referrals to campus resources as applicable. After offering support and campus referrals to the student, the success team notifies the faculty member.

Success Signals also includes built in referrals to other services, such as tutoring.
