SUNY Niagara started with evidence rather than assumptions. In partnership with humanskills.ai, the college completed an institution-wide AI Capacity Building Assessment that drew 116 responses. The findings were candid: they revealed a trust gap among faculty, and 78% of respondents were unaware of the college’s AI contacts.
The college used those results to act. Through multi-stakeholder engagement, it developed a Common AI Syllabus Policy, giving students clear and consistent expectations across courses, and an AI Guiding Framework to support responsible use across the institution.
In September 2026, SUNY Niagara launched a Human-First AI Literacy cohort with humanskills.ai, giving faculty and staff structured, hands-on learning that keeps human judgment at the center of AI use. The college tracks participation and completion through a learning activity dashboard.
