Baylor’s First Destination Survey and Success Data Dashboard track employment, graduate school enrollment, salary, and career success outcomes by college and major, with a 99% knowledge rate that makes the data representative of nearly every graduate. These data inform academic program review, advising, enrollment planning, employer outreach, and communication with prospective students and families—directing institutional resources where they have the greatest measurable impact.

Academic Excellence
That means many things, including courses that challenge and inspire; continuous assessment of teaching tools and methods; student participation in cutting-edge research and discovery; close faculty engagement with students; and timely academic help for those who need it.
The programs below are the ones the institution put forward against this commitment, with the outcomes it reports against each.

Using Peer Support to Help Students Succeed
Baylor’s Student Success Ambassador program identifies incoming first-year students at the highest risk of attrition and pays them—through Federal Work-Study and donor funding—to become peer advocates for academic success. Participants enroll in a course on the science of learning while actively using campus resources such as tutoring and Supplemental Instruction, then work paid hours encouraging fellow students to do the same. The design transforms the students most at risk of leaving into ambassadors who strengthen the academic culture for their peers. Impact is evaluated through comparisons of GPA and retention against similar non-participating students, along with measures of student flourishing and engagement.
